The Bridge school is delighted to introduce you all to our new head teacher: Andy Seager. Read on to find out more about what he envisions for our wonderful school.

This term, our new head, Andrew Seager, officially joined our school. Andy has worked in education for nearly 25 years, starting as a PE teacher then moving into pastoral care as Head of Year and Director of Post 16. He has previously led school improvement with great success, helping take the school from special measures to good across all areas.

When asked what skills he brings as an educational leader he replied:

“Approachable, fair, passionate for improving pupils’ experience within school and creating a fun learning environment for all.”

His experience so far at The Bridge has been hugely positive as he says:

“Pupils, staff and parents have been fantastic, very welcoming and supportive. When I’ve needed help they have all been at hand to point me in the right direction. Everyone enjoys attending the Bridge school and support each other every day”

Mr Seager states that his key values are:

“To be ‘the best you can be’ every day and in everything you try. Work hard and enjoy every moment at The Bridge”

Our new head is keen to continue the great work already happening at the Bridge. Pupils enjoy a broad and balanced curriculum that is fun and exciting. As well as excellent staff that go above and beyond in supporting pupil outcomes.

His future ambitions for the school are to:

  • Increase the number of educational visits pupils have experienced.
  • Ensure that all pupils at the Bridge gain valuable life skills that will support them throughout their lives.
  • Improve pupils love of reading

On a final note, we asked: What would Mr Seager like parents to know about him?

“I have the best job in the world and the pupils inspire you every day. I love sport and you can often find me cheering on Liverpool every match they play.”
